Re-Issue of The Restarts’ Outsider LP Available Now, Along With Colored Vinyl Re-Press of the Band’s Latest LP Uprising!

We are so excited to continue our reissue campaign of UK punks The Restarts with a colored vinyl reissue of the LP that truly took the band to the next level: Outsider! This follows our previous reissue of Actively Seeking Work: 1996-1998.

Originally released in 2007, Outsider was recorded DIY-style by the band on a digital recorder, the art and design were done by bassist/vocalist Kieran Plunkett, and the CD was self-released on the band’s own No Label Records. Sonically, the album represented a step forward in every way for the band, with the addition of Robin Licker on guitar and vocals injecting new energy into the band’s established raging sound. The band found themselves including more ska breaks alongside thrashier crowd-pleasers like “They’re On To You” and “Koyaanisqatsi,” as well as stepping into anthemic territory with mid-tempo rabble-rousers like “Bolloxology” and the title track “Outsider.”

Tracks from this record remain favorites among fans to this day, and the imagery from the album art has become synonymous with the band. The legacy that The Restarts built in the UK has expanded worldwide. With that comes a need to continue releasing these important records so fans can continue to enjoy them for years to come.

As with our previous Restarts releases, we’ve pressed this record on 3 different variants: 12” Black, 12” Blood Red, and 12” Ultra Clear w/ Black ‘Smoke’ vinyl.
