AHOY MATEYS, and Happy Friday the 13th!

Many take this date as an ill omen, but we feel lucky to bring you good news today! Without any further ado, we’d like you all to join us in welcoming The Riptides to the Pirates Press Records Family!

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, these Canadians have been cranking out high-energy blasts of melodic, poppy punk rock for over 25 years! Blending attitude-driven downstroke riffs with irresistible hooks and harmonies, combined with an aesthetic informed by everything from schlock horror cinema, nerdy pop culture, and surfing (Ontario’s famous beaches???), they’ve already amassed quite the following over the course of numerous LPs, 7″, splits, comps, and more.

Now that they’ve climbed aboard the good ship Pirates, they’re ready to sail (and surf!) to all new shores to spread their sound to even more!

The Riptides are poised to take everything to the next level. Longtime fans will be blown away by what’s in store, while newcomers enjoy the thrill of finally catching up!
